Course Summary

Aspire-Igen is a Yorkshire based social enterprise committed to changing lives for the better through learning and work. We work in partnership with numerous organisations in education, training, employability and skills to generate positive outcomes for a broad range of client groups from all ages and backgrounds. Working to support the social and economic regeneration of our region, recognising the skills priorities set by our Local Enterprise Partnerships promoting investment in education and training that is informed by real labour market demand.

Course Details

Digital Insight

Digital Insight will provide Digital assistance to help people move into employment education or training


The service is available in the following categories:-

Basic: For those with little or no IT skills. Completing Computer Online Basics course

With one to one support for IT based activities e.g. Job Search

Intermediate: For those who have a basic understanding of IT and online services.

Providing coaching and support to enhance existing skills and work independently

Advanced Support: For those confident with IT skills requiring information, advice and guidance with employment and education and access to IT facilities for independent activities.


Activities will include any or all of the following dependent on initial assessment:-

IT Skills for Life (on line) including Money Management and using public services on line

Basic and Digital Skills Assessment

Digital Awareness training including how to stay safe on line

Writing a CV and cover letter

Completing job applications and applying for jobs online

Regular Job clubs and workshops will be available

(this list is not fully inclusive and will vary dependent on the needs of the individual)


Average 3 to 4 hours per week Days /hours to be agreed to suit your needs

12 weeks (with an option to extend to 26 )

Participants will receive a Certificate on completion of online learning.

Entry requirements

Do you need help finding employment?

Are you aged 16 or over?

There is support available in the area you live.


Must be resident within Hull City Council boundary HU1 – HU9

Not been on any other HLC funded courses previously

Proof of:

Legal Right to live in the UK

Proof of Age

Proof of Address

Proof of unemployment
