These fees relate to 2023/2024 Tuition fee: £1,265 ADDITIONAL FEES All students are required to register with AAT upon enrolment. The fee for this is payable directly to AAT and includes admission and annual membership. The fee is £90. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that they are registered and entered for the exam on time. Students are required to pay fees for all re-sit exams. The is £60 per unit, the fees are payable directly to Wakefield College and will be due in advance of the exam date. Related additional costs may include materials, equipment, visits etc which are payable by all students. The AAT team will recommend that students buy textbooks to support the course and these will be additional costs payable by all students. If you are aged between 19 to 23 and you have not already achieved a full level 3 (or above) qualification, funding may be able available towards the cost of the course. Funding may also be available to employers wishing to upskill their workforce through this qualification. Course Summary

This introduction to the subject will also appeal to those wishing to embark on a professional career in accountancy. This course (which is particularly aimed at adult learners) will also benefit those who are working in a role requiring accountancy and book-keeping skills.

Course Details

This qualification consists of three units each with an assessment. It provides a more in-depth understanding of double-entry bookkeeping as well as additional units in spreadsheets software and professional ethics.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Practical tasks are carried out under exam conditions. Tasks are set by The Association of Accounting Technicians and exam papers are assessed, marked and graded electronically. Exams will take place during the day.

Entry requirements

English and Maths at Level 2 (Level 2 FS or GCSE Grade C or above / 4 or above).

Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or GCSE qualification at grade C/4 or above in maths and/or English, entry will be considered on previous achievements and experience
