Level 3
Year 1
Exploring business – Explore different types of businesses, their structures, and how they operate in various industries
Developing a marketing campaign – Research and develop a marketing campaign based on real-world business scenarios
Personal and business finance – Understand personal and business finance including budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning
Managing an event – Learn how to plan, manage, and evaluate a successful business event
Recruitment and selection – Study the recruitment process from job advertising to interviewing and selecting candidates
Customer service – Investigate the role of customer service in business success and how to improve customer satisfaction
Year 2
Principles of management – Learn the principles of management including leadership styles and team motivation
Business decision making – Develop decision-making skills using data analysis and strategic thinking
Pitching for a new business – Create and pitch a new business idea with supporting research and financial planning
Team building in business – Understand how to build and manage effective teams in a business environment
Digital marketing – Deepen your knowledge of digital marketing strategies and campaign performance analysis
International business – Explore how businesses operate internationally, including trade, cultural differences, and global marketing
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Throughout the course, there will be a combination of assessments, such as external test and internally assessed assignments, practical tasks, presentations or projects which form the basis of your final portfolio of evidence.
Entry requirements
Level 3 – 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
Progression from Level 2 to 3 would also require a pass at the lower-level vocational course
