Probe (Hull) Ltd (19+)

Probe (Hull) Ldt

Based in East Hull, the Exploring Opportunities team are qualified, and experienced staff – most of whom live locally and know the neighbourhood well.    The Exploring Opportunities team focus on helping people move forward with skills or employment, often going above and beyond to help beneficiaries.

Everyone is an individual, so the service they receive is tailored to their need. One to one support, working regularly with the same advisor provides continuity.   Initial IAG is done and is ongoing, identifying barriers and helping to find a way forward. That could include anything from sourcing a pair of shoes for a toddler starting nursery, to sorting out complex ID problems.

As well as individual support, Probe run a range of workshops covering subjects like interview skills, confidence building, and wellbeing. Groups are small, informal, and discussion based. We aim to make learning enjoyable, and we get great feedback from participants (even from our numeracy workshops!).

So that we can offer a wider range of support, Probe provides a referral gateway to other complementary services, addressing such issues as debt, social isolation, food poverty, and mental health issues. We work in partnership with local community organisations– including Greatfield Big Local, East Hull Community Farm, Rewilding Youth, Child Dynamix, EMS, and local community centres. We also link with partners across the city, to make sure our clients can access the best training opportunities, or different specialisms, to meet their specific needs.
