World of Work
This section will help you to explore careers, the different industries available locally, and job profiles. To be able to decide what to take as part of your next step it's useful to establish where these could lead.
Careerometer
The Careerometer is a tool that lets you compare the average wage and working hours for up to three jobs in England.
How to use the Careerometer?
Simply type in the first career that you think you might be interested in and select from the drop down list, then add your second and third choices to see the comparison. Don’t forget – when you’ve finished comparing wages and job opportunities – visit our career pages to read articles on and interviews with people working in a range of careers across different industry sectors such as Engineering and the Public Services.
Use the notepad in your learner account to record the things that you find of interest.
