The construction industry is well paid and thriving. There are many opportunities for qualified people locally and nationally. Following on from the Level 2 Plastering Study Programme, this course teaches you complex decorative external rendering, decorative internal mouldings run in situ, and complex internal plastering techniques. With work experience directly linked to the construction industry, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in innovative community projects to restore derelict homes in the area. We also encourage you to take part in competitions where you can showcase your skills. Those wishing to progress further may complete the Level 3 Professional Construction diploma, which can lead to an HNC or HND in Construction and the Built Environment or our BA (Hons) in Construction Management. You’ll also be qualified to start work as a construction site worker or plasterer for a building company, with our modules of additional employability skills helping you to find work.
