This qualification focuses on particular aspects of employmentand business within the Travel and Tourist Sector.
A BTEC Level 3 Natinal Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism is equivalent in size to one A level
You will complete three mandatory units as well as a single optional unit.
Three compulsory units will cover the following contents areas:
1. The Travel and tourism industry - Measuring and analysing the importance to tourism to the UK.
2. Different types of destinations and their importance - The features and appeal of global destinations to different customer types.
3. Customer service - Exploring and applying ways of managing internal and external customer experience and develop customer service skills.
All assessments are internally assessed through units of work as well as an exam. Internal assessment are under medium and high control and will be compled in the Academy
Level 2 GCSE's
Employment within the Travel and Tourism industry. Higher Education courses such as Events Management and Leisure and Tourism. High education coursses.
