Study Programme - Traineeships

HYA's Pre-Apprenticeship Study Programme is all about getting your 'foot through the door' to something new.

This course is specifically aimed at learners that want to improve their knowledge & skills, by taking part in a 6 month work-based placement - known as a Traineeship.

Our traineeship courses are in partnership with our local NHS hospitals, who are offering various opportunities across their range of departments.

Our Traineeship course is a 6-month placement where you will be working full-time hours across three days per week. The remaining two days will be spent at HYA Training, where you will have the opportunity to study Maths and English (at either a functional skill or GCSE level), as well as various employability skills sessions.

Traineeships can be focused in specialised departments within our local NHS hospitals, including:

• Administration
• Health Care
• Estates & Storage

Whilst the successful candidate will work three days per week on their placement, all additional learning is conducted at HYA's training centre, and is classroom based.

There are no formal entry requirements, although previous work experience of any type could prove beneficial.

Our Pre-Apprenticeship Traineeship Programme aims to give you the qualification(s) to progress into employment, an apprenticeship or further education.
