Low cost scooter rental for East Riding residents struggling to get to work in rural areas.

As the weather gets better and the days get longer we wanted to take a moment to remind you about our Kickstart scooter hire scheme.

If you or anybody you know live in the East Riding, are aged 18 or over and struggle to get to work or training due to transport issues then we might be able to help.

Kickstart (also known as Wheels to Work) is a national scheme, run locally by a team in the council. If you are eligible, you’ll be able to hire a scooter for only £69 a month – including insurance and servicing costs. So all you need to do is add fuel and a helmet, and you’re good to go.

The scooters are brand new 110cc Honda Visions, and we have bikes available immediately.

If you think that we might be able to help you out, you can find out more on our website, email us on kickstart@eastriding.gov.uk or give us a call or text on 07920 587758.
