Support in Hull
Connexions can help you make decisions about your future including education, employment and training choices.
If you have an Education, Health and Care Plan, preparation for adulthood starts in year 9. At this point, you will meet your Connexions adviser who will talk to you about the options open to you in the future. These options include:
- Further education or sixth form
- Apprenticeships and traineeships
- Supported internships
We can also talk to you about transport and bursaries, help you to apply for college or training and signpost you to other agencies offering specialist support.
Your Connexions adviser will come to your annual reviews from year 9 onwards to help you and your family to make decisions about your choice of education and training.
Your Education, Health and Care Plan will continue potentially up to the age of 25 if you stay in education or training or until you progress onto University if that is your choice. Connexions will continue to support you when you start education or training.
